Thailand’s first Fin-swimming Training for the Trainers. (2010-08-10 18:15:52) TDA Diving Association (Thailand) had successfully launched, Thailand’s first Fin-swimming Training for the Trainers.
The event took place at TDA office and Cheng Talay sub district municipal swimming pool on 7th – 8th August 2010, with 12 interested participants from all over Thailand.
Mr. Vladimir Karmazin, National Coach for Thailand’s Fin-swimming team facilitates the training, with high prospects of increasing awareness of this sport among competitive swimmers.
TDA Diving Association (Thailand) wishes to promote Fin-swimming through similar outreach activities to encourage competitive swimmer coach, and Thai youth to partake and become more interested in this sport.

Mr. Maik Rudolph, TDA BOD Member, was – as the years before – organizer and leader of TDA booth at TDEX 2010 in Bangkok.
With his idea to present the new discipline of fin swimming beside all information about diving in Thailand he could attract many visitors to the booth!
Therefore especially at the weekend all TDA Team was very busy to provide interesting information to everybody.

The TDA CMAS Instructor Course, held on Ko Lanta at TDA 5 Star Examiner Academy Ko Lanta Diving Center from 28th of April to 2nd of May finished successfully for all candidates. TDA Diving Association (Thailand) welcomes Mr. Oliver Marsel (Ko Lanta) as new TDA Course Director, Mr. Andreas Brunner (Phuket) as new M2 and Mr. Pascal Kueng (Samui/Ko Tao) as new M1. Further Monique Schaetzl, M3, and Andreas Brunner M2, as new TDA/CMAS Children Instructors! Congratulations to everybody!!
With an additional day Sascha Reperger, TDA/CMAS 2*Star Instructor and BAUER Compressor Technician, conducted a Compressor Seminar and Mrs. Arzum Akuzay, TDA/CMAS 1*Star Instructor and Shark Specialist, a seminar for Shark Awareness and Conservation for all candidates!

Rainer’s first mission as TDA Honorary President: representing TDA President, Khun Ronnachai Chindapol, Rainer appointed Mr. Christian Mietz as new TDA President Technical Committee at CMAS General Assembly 2010 in Rome, Italy, on 24th of April.
Christian Mietz, who is TDA member since the foundation assembly in December 2004, is actively supporting most of the TDA projects and up to now had the position as TDA President Marketing & PR Commission and is in an active teaching status as TDA Examiner. : More>>

Our friend Rainer Gottwald resigned from his positions at TDA Divng Association (Thailand) as CEO and President Technical Committee. At CMAS General Assembly 2010 in Rome, Italy, Mrs. Waraporn “Toom” Jittanonta and Christian Mietz held the laudation to honour Rainer’s outstanding work for TDA since 2004 in front of all CMAS Federations.
It is not possible to explain in short sentences what aims and goals Rainer initialized and REALIZED (!!) for TDA Diving Association (Thailand) with all his personal strength, power and energy on voluntary basis. All TDA achievements, cooperation with other CMAS Federations, national and international organisations, NGO’s and authorities and projects like Artificial Reef Park on Phuket ,TDA Marine Scout ,Thai Royal Navy Seals Instructor Training and many more are mainly based on Rainer’s activities.
As well Rainer always worked very hard to improve the standards of Thailand’s young CMAS Federation which made TDA Diving Association (Thailand) an internationally highly accepted non profit diving organisation in between CMAS worldwide.
With a special reward, a personal gift and the letter of TDA President, Khun Ronnachai Chindapol, TDA can express only small thanks for Rainer’s exceptional work.
TDA is proud to appoint Rainer as TDA Honorary President and more than welcome for further and future support and advise!

The CMAS General Assembly 2010 was held in Rome, Italy, on 24th of April at CMAS Headquarters in the Italian NOC building. Besides the reports of the three committees (TEC, Sports and Scientific) a main point on the agenda was the new design and contents of the CMAS websites www.cmas.org
As well the TDA Diving Association (Thailand) Delegation, photo with CMAS President Achilles Ferrero and CMAS Steering Board, could establish and implement further cooperation with several CMAS Federations for acceptance of CMAS instructor licences on a basis of common standard procedures accordingly.
